One of the most common questions we get asked is about how much CBD oil to take at a time. CBD tincture dosage is not a one-size-fits-all kind of prescription. Every individual’s metabolism and ailment requirements vary and may change over time. When we work with our clients to find their personal dosage the first rule is to adjust as needed based on your lowest, or baseline, dose.
The goal is to start small and work your way up to the milligrams that begin to offer a noticeable effect (milligrams per drop are listed on the bottle). Finding this minimum threshold can become a gauge for how much to take on a given day. CBD studies indicate the effects are more about the frequency of dosage, not necessarily just amount per dose. So if you are having a trying day or week a bit more than your baseline may help. Perhaps a lower dose is all that is required on a day where you don’t notice as much trouble.
In our experience consulting we have found that approximately 2mg-5mg of Full Spectrum CBD oil serves as the starting point for most people. From there you make minor adjustments, remembering that it may take a few days to take effect if you have never tried CBD products before. A comfortable medium range lies between 6mg-15mg. We would consider a larger dose to range from 16mg-30mg. Some of our clients report taking more at a time for their lifestyle. Once again, different doses may be required from person to person and situation to situation. But this is the general guideline we start from.
